Terry Blair's Fork Drain Plugs

Here are a couple of the pics that I shot of the VX fork with drain plugs. When I had the fork tube off the bike to change a fork seal I looked inside and determined that the bottom of inside was even with the section where fork tapers toward axle bolt--in other words at the very bottom of round section of fork tube. Thus using a 10mm head-6mm thread bolt I started the hole's center 5 mm above the top of the taper that slants down to axle. Hope this explanation makes sense to you. It is a very easy job to drill the alloy tube. just be careful to hold drill nice and straight and steady so that you do not make hole bigger than the bit by wandering.
