The 'Brian' Rally, August 2007
I had an opportunity to fly from the UK to NJ for week - giving me a free
weekend. So seeing an opportunity to meet old friends again I sent an email to
the list - and suddenly we had a rally!! Jack Davidson very kindly offered me the loan of one of his beloved Ducati's so I brought my riding gear on the plane - much to the amusement of the cabin staff.
In order to get the rally underway I offered to stand for breakfast - and sure enough like bees to honey we suddenly had 8 for breakfast - including old furface who came from NC for the treat :-)
First to arrive was Farokh closely followed by Giselle, John and Chris.
Then Scott, and his CB750 and Jack in truck with 2 Ducatis on the trailer, followed closely by Jack's friend Gary on another Ducati
We all piled into my hotel where we had a substantial breakfast matched only by the constant banter - you would not have believed that this gang had only met up the previous weekend at the 'Furface'
rally at John's house
We then went off on the rally - covering about 200 miles in all. Dont ask me
where we went - but went 'up state' (north) and looped around. After lunch at a
diner in Port Jerviswe the went to the Delaware gap. When stopped at a look out we were
treated to some antics by the H-D riders - which made us all laugh.
After the
stop at the lookout we split up leaving myself Giselle and Jack to go south
towards home. Halfway home Jack and I had to say goodbye to Giselle as she
peeled off to NY, leaving Jack and I to slab the last few miles back to the
Hotel.
I had a great time - thanks for looking out for me
